Over 20 years of experience
Mike is a Field Expediter/Senior Geological Technician with 20 years experience, mostly with the SA Government, where he was involved with all aspects of drill core organization, sampling, and presentation at the PIRSA core library.
Mike has held various responsible OHS positions such as Fire Warden for PIRSA core library and Occupational Health and Safety Representative SA Highways Department. Senior First Aid, Truck (HR) License, 4 Wheel Drive Accredited Course.
Mike's field technician experience includes
- Camp set up, drill rig support, drill sampling, QA/QC implementation, sample dispatch and rehabilitation at NuPower’s phosphate project, Lucy Ck, NT
- Remote area camp construction, and percussion drill program support in Simpson Desert, western Qld for Krucible Resources
- Remote area stream sediment sample collection utilizing GPS location in areas with difficult access Dajarra area, southern Mt Isa Block for MM Mining
- Helicopter supported rock chip sampling and geological recon for PepinNini in North Queensland
- Set up (with due regard for safety procedures) on site core cutting facilities and drill core management with geotech logging and photography for Diatreme Resources at Clermont, NQ; for Sumitomo at Gregory Downs, NW Qld, and Superior Resources, NQ.
- High level of computing, data entry and data processing skills.
