Comms compliance record

A comms compliance record covers one communications device, such as a GPS tracker, on one project. You reach it from Compliance, Comms tab: choose New, or tick one row and choose Edit.

Add a device to a project

Choose the Type (it opens on "GPS Tracker") and then the Comms device.
Choose the Client, Project and Departure.
In Crew & Equipment, choose the crew who carry it and the vehicle it travels in.
Choose Save. Save stays greyed until you change something. If a required field is empty the app says "Fill out all required fields".

The status is set for you from the departure date.

Tracking

When you edit a device that has a tracking feed, a Tracking section shows its battery and last tracking time. These are read-only; the last tracking time shows green if it is from today and red if it is older. The Tracking switch works only if tracking is turned on for the device in the Comms database; otherwise it says "Disabled in Database".
